Former NXT head trainer Bill DeMott may soon be dipping his toes into the political arena ... Pro Wrestling Sheet has learned his daughter's tragic death has inspired the ex-WWE star to try strengthening DUI laws by possibly running for office this year.

Bill DeMott tells us that since meeting with State Attorney's Office in Florida over the death of his daughter Keri Anne last year, he's realized the laws surrounding DUI's are too loose.

"I'm no politician. I've never claimed to be. I don't aspire to be one. But I will become a politician, I will run for office, if that's what's needed." DeMott adds, "My voice needs to be heard because my daughter's life meant more than a 15 year sentence in prison for multiple offender of DUIs."

The 49 year-old says he's still not sure which office he might run for, but is doing research to figure out what the next steps would be if he decides to go full force.

Keri Ann DeMott was hit by a drunk driver who veered onto the wrong side of the road in October 2015.  She was pronounced dead at the scene.  Legal proceedings in the case have just begun.

"I'm not sure how it will turn out, but I'm gonna stir the pot and I'm gonna bring attention to the state of Florida. The DUI laws need to be changed and Keri Anne DeMott matters! My family needs to be protected, my daughter needs to be more than a statistic, and something has to change."
